  • description: This week I have a very special guest onboard – my 72-year-old friend visiting from the United States, experiencing the British waterways aboard a Narrowboat for the very first time! We cruise together, share stories, laughter and a few wobbly tiller moments as she gets a taste of life afloat. After she leaves, I head to a wonderful steam gathering with historic working boats and traction engines, and even capture the Daniel Adamson fighting the wind and rain as she attempts to leave the dock – dramatic doesn’t even cover it! Back on board I upgrade my Wi-Fi setup (much needed!) and finally share my plans for moving on and leaving this river within the next two weeks. A little bittersweet, but it’s time for a new chapter.
