Well.... after a proper storm hit while I was moored up on the canal, I ended up doing what every boater does… hunkering down and waiting it out. For a few days, the boat didn’t move. The wind howled, the trees dropped branches everywhere, and the towpath turned into a bit of a mess. But honestly… it was also the perfect excuse to slow down, stay cosy, and just be still for a while. Now the weather has completely flipped — blue skies, sunshine, and finally time to move again. So I cruise a little further along the canal in search of a sunnier mooring (because let’s be honest… mooring under trees after a storm isn’t the one and this is the reality of narrowboat life 😅). Sometimes canal life is big adventures… and sometimes it’s just your normal week, riding out storms and moving a few miles for a better spot. And I wouldn’t change it.
